Ni Sisi! is a nationwide social movement uniting Kenyans to forge a collective identiy to drive transformation in leadership and maisha. Ni Sisi! starts at the bottom, connecting individuals and a wide variety of grassroots organizations working for positive social change around a set of core values: Heshima, Diversity, and Self-Belief (Ni Sisi!).
Is Ni Sisi! an NGO?
Ni Sisi! is not an NGO. Too often, NGO’s employ an approach to social change and economic development that emphasizes top-down planning or material handouts. Ni Sisi! favors a bottom-up, grassroots approach that emphasizes local planning and organization, and the sharing of skills and information among members.
Does Ni Sisi! fund other organisations or individuals?
Ni Sisi! does not provide funding to organizations or individuals. However, joining the social movement provides individuals and organizations support in the form of access to Ni Sisi!’s growing network of friends and partners. Ni Sisi! visionaries work to ensure that information, skills, and resources are shared within the movement and across this network.
